A Chinese eye on Italian Cinema grand tradition.

The golden age of the Italian movie industry created a number of masterpieces which are still inspiring contemporary moving imagery. Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Marcello Mastroianni, along with directors such as Fellini, Visconti, Rossellini – this unique heritage belongs to everybody.
Will they be cloned in the same way as Venetian gondolas or Pisa tower, just to be sold in souvenir stores to the Chinese touristic mass market? And which place will they be taking within the Chinese visual imagery?

Grande Cinema Italiano ConcertINA is curated by Giovanni Flore.
It is currently at the MOBILE MUSEUM, 7 -26 February 2013
